Godan verbs ending in ぬ
死ぬ is the only godan verb on the JLPT lists that ends in ぬ — and the only one in modern Japanese. A godan verb moves its final kana along that kana's vowel row: な before ない (死なない), に before ます (死にます), ね for the potential and ば forms (死ねる, 死ねば), の for the volitional (死のう). Its て and た forms are 死んで and 死んだ. In the て and た forms it takes んで, which it shares with む and ぶ.
