虚しいむなしい
munashii虚しい (むなしい, munashii) — empty — is an い-adjective: 虚しかった (past), 虚しくない (negative), 虚しくて (te-form), 虚しいです (polite).

Every form is built on the stem 虚し. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.
