有難いありがたい
arigatai有難い (ありがたい, arigatai) — grateful — is an い-adjective: ありがたかった (past), ありがたくない (negative), ありがたくて (te-form), ありがたいです (polite).
It is usually written in kana: ありがたい rather than 有難い. It also means thankful; welcome.
How ありがたい conjugates · い-adjective
Drop the final い, then add the ending.
Every form is built on the stem ありがた. The one that isn't: the polite present, which is the whole word plus です.

Every い-adjective works this way. The one exception is いい, which conjugates from its older form よい.
