Katsuyo — Delete your account

Katsuyo accounts are optional: the app works fully without one, and an account exists only so your progress survives a lost device and follows you to another. You can delete yours at any time, and you do not need anyone's help to do it.

Delete it from inside the app

Open Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm with your password. Deletion happens immediately.

If you can't reach the app

Email feedback@keshiki.app from the address the account uses, with the subject Delete my account. Using the account's own address is what lets us confirm the request is yours — we cannot action a request that arrives from a different address. Requests are handled within 30 days, and normally much sooner.

What deletion removes

• Your account and its email address
• Your synced learning history — which words and forms you have practised, every question you got wrong, and how they were scheduled for review
• Your synced high score, games played and accuracy totals
• Your synced display name, study level and audio setting
• Any leaderboard names you had hidden

What deletion does not remove

• The progress on your device. Deleting the account does not touch the copy stored on the phone, tablet or browser you are using — the app keeps working, just without an account. To remove that copy too, use Settings → Reset progress, or delete the app.
• Leaderboard scores you have already posted. Board entries carry no account information at all, so they cannot be traced back to an account — which also means deleting one cannot find them. To have an entry removed, use the ⋮ report button on the entry, or email the address above with the name and approximate date.
• A minimal deletion marker. We keep one small record — the deleted account's internal identifier and the time it was deleted, and nothing else. It contains no email address, no name and no progress. It exists so that a device still holding a valid sign-in cannot recreate the account you just deleted. This record is kept indefinitely.
